As stated by Fombang, the donation was “prompted by the fundamental human right to education for every child as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and in response to UNESCO’s call to support the access to education for marginalised girls as stipulated in the UNESCO Convention against Discrimination in Education, we cannot remain indifferent to the suffering of the children from the conflict zones. We are further encouraged by Cameroon government’s frequent calls for every Cameroonian to feel at home in any part of the country. We have been reaching out to IDP families in Yaoundé to support them in our own little way and so far, our moves have been very successful and appreciated”.
